ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
The Engineering & Public Works Department is currently accepting applications for Part-time employment until Friday, 14 June 2019 – 4:00 pm.
Minimum Qualifications: valid drivers license and an ability to perform general
labour work in all weather conditions
Desired Qualifications: Valid Class 3 license, mechanical aptitude, skills and
experience in operating equipment and machinery.

The Town of Oromocto pays wages and benefits in accordance with the current CUPE collective agreement. This posting is to be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates to be employed for an undefined period of continuous employment not in excess of one year. SUMMER STUDENT POSITIONS: Student Application
The Recreation and Tourism Department is currently accepting applications for Summer Student Casual Employment Event Coordinator
Applications for this summer student position within the Recreation and Tourism Department will be received
at the Oromocto Municipal Offices until 4:00 pm, Thursday, June 13, 2019.
Minimum Qualifications: Entering Second Year of University or Equivalent; Must be at least 19 years of age as of 28 June 2019; Experience working with youth, adult or older adults.
Assets: Previous experience with program planning; Class 5 driver’s license.
Function: Under the supervision of the Program & Special Event Officer, take the lead in planning, organization, and evaluation of 1-5 day camps/ workshops/ activities, as well as adult, older adult and community programs & activities.
Responsible to: Program & Special Event Officer.
Responsibilities: Successfully complete a First Aid and CPR course; Promote Mayor’s Activity Awards and other special events; attend in-service training; purchase equipment and other related materials; develop safe, fun filled and well-organized activities for children, adults & older adults; provide support for youth, adult, older adult and community activities; deal with participant concerns; assist with the Summer Concert Series, maintain a budget and prepare end of summer reports; and perform other related duties as required.
Recreation & Tourism student casual positions require that the applicant be a full-time student in the 2018-19 school year and entering or currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution for Fall 2019, or as defined by a third party employment funding program. Confirmation of enrollment may be required. All positions are funding dependent. As a result, some advertised positions may not be filled.
