The RCMP is located in the municipal offices building for the Town of Oromocto. There are a number of services offered during business hours, Monday to Friday 08h30 - 16h30. These include, criminal record checks and non-criminal fingerprint services for people living in our jurisdiction. Criminal record checks will be conducted Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 08h30 to 16h00, results will be provided within 7 days. Fingerprints are done on Thursdays ONLY from 09h00 until 12h00 and 13h00 to 16h00.
How do I pay a fine?
Fines may be paid at any Service New Brunswick location, during regular business hours. The office for Service NB closest to Oromocto is located in the Burton Courthouse, 23 Route 102, Burton New Brunswick. You may also mail the fine to Service NB, PO Box 94, Oromocto, NB E2V 2B4.
How do I obtain a criminal records check?
Effective September 6th, 2016 - Oromocto RCMP Detachment is changing its process for criminal record check applications. Applications will be taken on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and results will be made available to the applicant within 7 days.
You must live within the West District RCMP jurisdiction. You must have two forms of government issue identification, including a government issue picture identification with your current address. (NB driver's license or NB identification card) . The other form of identification may be birth certificate, medicare card, social insurance card or other valid government issued identification.
How do I obtain non-criminal fingerprinting services?
Non-criminal fingerprinting is offered every Thursday by appointment only. Please phone 357-4300 to book your appointment. This may be for a Visa application, Immigration or a request from a workplace for a certified criminal records check You must provide a copy of the letter from your employer requesting the fingerprints. You must have two forms of government issue identification, including a government issue picture identification with your current address. The other form of identification may be a medicare card, social insurance card or other valid identification. If this is for non-Federal Government employment or a Visa application, you must live in West District RCMP jurisdiction. The current cost is $25.00 tax included, which is payable ONLY by certified cheque or money order addressed to the Receiver General of Canada. If this is for Federal Government employment, there is no charge. If fingerprinting is for volunteering (ie; coaching) if you provide a letter from the organization there is no charge.
Online Crime Reporting (OCR) gives New Brunswickers, in RCMP area of jurisdiction, an alternate way to report certain non-emergency crimes without calling the police, or visiting a detachment.
Online crime reporting is not meant to replace other forms of reporting crime. Always call 911 in an emergency.
