Planning Advisory Committee

Planning Advisory Committee (PAC)   

The Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) is an appointed Committee of Council and is comprised of two Councillors and Town citizens. The mandate of PAC is to perform necessary duties relating to community planning, as required by the Community Planning Act or Town Council.

The committee reviews land-use planning matters and makes recommendations to Town Council. This includes Municipal Plan amendments, rezoning applications, zone changes, and subdivision proposals. The committee also acts as the decision-making body for most major variance requests.

Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of each month, pending business for consideration.
