The Province of New Brunswick has announced that as of 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, most restrictions placed on Crown Lands due to the high risk of wildfires will be removed due to improving conditions.
The Town of Oromocto will also reopen the Deer Park trail system and the Gateway Trails effective tomorrow morning, August 26, 2025, at 9:00am. We ask that citizens remain vigilant about fire safety and continue to be cautious when in wooded areas until conditions return fully to normal.
