The Town of Oromocto is pleased to announce that it has made application to the Municipal Capital Borrowing Board to secure funding for a significant capital project under subsection 4(1) of the Municipal Capital Borrowing Act.
The requested $17,500,000 borrowing will support a first phase of the development of the Oromocto Regional Wellness and Recreation Centre, with a focus on the Library and Gymnasium components. This project is a vital step forward in our ongoing commitment to provide modern, accessible, and high-quality recreational and cultural services for our community.
The Town remains steadfast in its adherence to the responsible borrowing principles outlined by the Borrowing Board and the Local Governance Act, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability as we invest in Oromocto’s future.
