Oromocto Public Library

The Oromocto Public Library has been serving the informational, educational and leisure needs of the Oromocto and area communities since 1961. As part of the New Brunswick Public Library system, funding is provided by both Provincial and Municipal governments. Membership is free to any resident of New Brunswick.


The Collection:

A wide range of materials are available. There are books in English, French, and German for both adults and children. Magazines, newspapers, pamphlets, cassettes, compact discs, DVD’s, and videos may be borrowed.

The Library provides FREE internet access as well as access to the Provincial Catalogue. Information about the New Brunswick Libraries may be accessed at www.gnb.ca/0003/NBPLS.html.There is also access to the public library website with a Virtual Reference Library and other electronic resources. 

 

2012 March Library Programs
Mar 6     Children in kindergarten to grade five will enjoy our March Break programs starting with SMURF-TASTIC CRAFTS beginning at 2:00-3:00 pm.  This program will include stories and crafts.  Please register in advance by calling 357-3329.
Mar 7     This March Break probram for children in kindergarten to grade five will feature a SMURF TREASURE HUNT and other games.  Please register in advance by calling 357-3329.
Mar 8     The library will be showing THE SMURFS movie starting at 2:00 pm for children kindergarten to grade five.  The movies lasts 103 minutes and will end about 3:45 pm.  Popcorn will be served.  Please register in advance by calling the library at 357-3329.
Mar 9     The over-fifty crowd is invited to our BROWSE & BRUNCH at 9:00 am.  Please "go green" as we celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  This hour is packed full of food, fun and conversation.  Please call in advance to reserve your seat.

Mar 20   The library will be offering TODDLER TALES for children 18-36 months old.  The program starts at 10:15 am each Tuesday morning and runs for six weeks.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Each session is packed full of stories, rhymes, games and a craft.  Please register in advance by calling 357-3329.
