Oromocto Public Library

The Oromocto Public Library has been serving the informational, educational and leisure needs of the Oromocto and area communities since 1961. As part of the New Brunswick Public Library system, funding is provided by both Provincial and Municipal governments. Membership is free to any resident of New Brunswick.


The Collection:

A wide range of materials are available. There are books in English, French, and German for both adults and children. Magazines, newspapers, pamphlets, cassettes, compact discs, DVD’s, and videos may be borrowed.

The Library provides FREE internet access as well as access to the Provincial Catalogue. Information about the New Brunswick Libraries may be accessed at www.gnb.ca/0003/NBPLS.html.There is also access to the public library website with a Virtual Reference Library and other electronic resources. 

 

JULY PROGRAMS FOR 2010
 
July 1               The library will be CLOSED for Canada Day.
 
July 7               Parents and pre-schoolers (3-5years old) are invited to join our READ-TO-ME CLUB Wednesday mornings during the summer. The 45-minute program starts at 10:15 am and is filled with stories, finger puppets and crafts. You can register anytime at the library.
 
July 8               The SUMMER READING CLUB starts at 10:00am. The 60-minute program is for children who are independent readers and is held each Thursday morning. Enjoy a number of different cultures as we “See the World@ the library” this summer. You can register any time at the library.

Aug 3               The library will be CLOSED for New Brunswick Day.
