The Oromocto Public Library has been serving the informational, educational and leisure needs of the Oromocto and area communities since 1961. As part of the New Brunswick Public Library system, funding is provided by both Provincial and Municipal governments. Membership is free to any resident of New Brunswick.
The Collection:
A wide range of materials are available. There are books in English, French, and German for both adults and children. Magazines, newspapers, pamphlets, cassettes, compact discs, DVD’s, and videos may be borrowed.
The Library provides FREE internet access as well as access to the Provincial Catalogue. Information about the New Brunswick Libraries may be accessed at www.gnb.ca/0003/NBPLS.html.There is also access to the public library website with a Virtual Reference Library and other electronic resources.

March 2 SANDMAN STORYTIME is cancelled for this week.
March 2 ROYALTY FOR A Day
Children from K - Gr5 will enjoy our medieval theme as they make their own coat of arms or a crown and pose for a photograph as king or queen. Photo release forms will need to be signed be for the program starts. The hour-long program starts at 2:00pm. Please register in advance by calling 357-3329.
March 3 CASTLE BUILDING
Children from K - Gr5 may join us at 2:00pm and enjoy makeing their own Royal Castle with all the trimmings. The program runs from 2:00 - 3:00pm. Please register in advance by calling 357-3329.
March 3 "LA DEMI-HEURE DU CONTE" is cancelled for this week.
March 4 ROYAL PORTRAIT
Children from K - Gr5 will enjoy making a picture frame for their portrait and decorating it in a medieval style. The program runs from 2:00 - 3:00pm. Please register in advance by calling 357-3329.
March 9 SANDMAN STORYTIME
The Sandman Storytime will continue each Tuesday evening at 6:30pm. This 30-minute evening storytime is fun for the whole family! No registration is necessary for this drop-in program.
March 10 "LA DEMI_HEURE DU CONTE!"
The library will be continuing the French language story time called "La Demi Du Conte!" No registration is required for this 30-minute program that starts at 6:30pm.
March 11 TODDLER TALES
Register early for the next session of Toddler Tales. The program starts March 11 and ends April 15, 2010. The six-week program is designed for toddlers (18-36 months) and their parents. Enjoy stories, games and a small craft. Please register in advance by calling 357-3329.
March 12 BROWSE & BRUNCH
The over-fifty crowd is invited to our Browse & Brunch from 9:00am to 10:00am. Saint Patrick's Day is just around the corner, so be sure to wear some green. Please call in advance to reserve a seat.
March 23 LEADERSHIP SKILLS WORKSHOP
Sophie-Michelle Cyr, from the Falls Brook Centre, will be leading a workshop called Leadership Skills. Learn how to gather together a group of people and plan together as a group. Please register in advance for this free two-hour program by calling 357-3329.
