The Technical Department is responsible for community planning and development; technical matters and data; building permits and inspection; and by-law enforcement. The Technical Office has evolved to be a model system envied by many other municipalities with its state of the art technology and outstanding records system.
The current level of services provided by the Technical Department is a result of having built solid relationships with property owners, contractors, engineering firms, other government departments and especially Canadian Forces Base Gagetown. The success of the Technical Department is attributable to the coordination of tasks between the Technical and the Chief Administrative Officer/Clerk’s Office.
The Technical Office is able to provide citizens and contractors with prompt and efficient service due to the resources that the department has at its disposal.
